I will never understand why people say breath of the wild is one of the greatest games ever made (it’s not 😎) It’s not a bad game but Zelda isn’t just the same anymore. Tears of the kingdom (BOTW2) is the only Zelda game I ever felt nothing for. Thanks for sharing. I just don’t understand the new direction.

Something I noticed about Tri's design that I haven't seen anyone else bring up yet is that their face reminds me a bit of the Lanayru mining bots. Not sure if that really means anything or is just a similar aesthetic choice.

K... Hear me out... Echoes of Wisdom : Zelda, focus on puzzle solving and use of the environment, the echoes, etc... Echoes of Courage: Link, focus on combat, dungeons and bosses and a more traditional style 2d game... Echoes of Power: Ganon, more war sim, resource management or even a monster taming/collecting style, building an army to take over Hyrule... Then maybe even a fourth... Echoes of Hyrule... I ant got ideas on that, other than this could be Nintendo's way of merging the timelines in some way... Specifically since we see the two zora races together... Just saying...

They still could have been Immortal Dragons as the Immortality spoken of has to do with age and disease no longer being relevant rather than "cannot be killed by anything' style immortality. The Immortal Dragons can still be killed - it just isn't going to be by either getting too old or from disease - it would be from someone going out of their way to kill them with overwhelming physical damage.

I really hope we get to play as Link in the Dark World. Could create a cool dynamic swapping between the two characters affecting each others world. But even if not, it’s still going to be a cool new Zelda game regardless. I just hope it doesn’t go down in the halls of shame along with Spirit tracks and phantom hourglass

Clowning here to say this is a 3 game story, and we'll also get echos of courage and power, where we play as Link and Ganon respectively.

I bet that it’s her special hood/cape that protects her from being corrupted by the dark rift and lets her traverse it safely.

I think it's the realm between the trident of power can open a portal to it as seen when gannandorf yeeted the phantom to it when the trident struck the ground in oot. Also, the other time we went to the realm between was in TP were we also seen floating islands in a void like space This also seems to be about the 3rd treasure of the minish "the guiding light" the other two is the trident of power and four sword all power and forged by the golden light. See minish cap and four sword The minish used the light of the triforce to forge the treasure This also means it could be a sequel to four sword adventure adding a third option

What I'm wondering is if there's going to be some sort of coupe after the fight with Ganon. It seems like the guards are loyal at first, but then they're enemies, Zelda gets thrown in a jail cell, and Impa is fighting the guards.

Immortal dosnt necesserely mean unkillable. After all we kill Ganandorf. So its possible "Immortal Dragon" simply means they live forever, they dont age but still can be killed.

Something I noticed is that the rift dimension doesn't look particularly evil, it just looks chaotic and random, instead of a thought out twist of the light world it just looks like someone said "Random shit go" Someone suggested it may be possible that the one we see may not even really be Ganon, but another puppet, clone, possesion or something like that and the real "Bad guy" will be the trident itself without a sentient wielder, or a spirit like the opposite of Tri, which instead of using triangles to copy things uses dots and lines (???) to delete stuff

I pronounce it as Oakrina. The other way just sounds weird for me to say it.

Echoes are autobuild

My theroy on this is. This game functions as some sort of Crisis event that's linking 2 timelines into 1. Most notably the Downfall timeline, and THE CHILD TIMELINE. Remember four swords adventure was thing, and that game had garudo in it and a similar layout to a link to the past. The theory gose like this: this takes place some time after fours swords adventures, but gannon rift is somehow bringing characters and enemy's from the downfall timeline, and its cause the 2 worlds to merge into 1 world, all be it the inhabitants don't realize it yet. That's one theory I can cook up for now. I've seen other videos talk about this game taking place after four swords. If so this game works for me since I'm more of a fan of the child timeline really.

Zelda’s dress in the beginning looks very similar to OOT until later when she has just a simple white and purple coat. Also, have you noticed Link’a hood? I thought it could have came from BOTW or TOTK but I’m not sure what the symbols are. They seem Zonai but I don’t believe it’s Zonai. What else has those symbols?

If we’re only allowed to make echoes for combat, this game will get boring fast. I’m a huge Zelda fan, but this has me extremely worried

The “Trident” Ganon uses is EXTREMELY similar-IF NOT *EXACTLY* the Same-as the trident used by the Nightmare of the Wind Fish in Link’s Awakening (the new one). The Nightmare Ganon shape uses a two-headed “trident” with the dual bladed-heads.

It probably won't be the case, but I almost wonder if this game's events are what cause the timeline merge that leads to the era of the wild games.

Tri gets five triangles behind in the scene where Zelda is summoning the Skulltulas to climb across the gap and each spider costs 2 to summon. It has nothing to do with a “Tetraforce,” it’s just a visual representation of how many summons you can do and you can upgrade it.

What Ganon/Ganondorf lore are we going to get from the Gerudo?

dont know if this will be read but can this also not take place maby at the timelines slowly coming together? we know of the timeline split but it is rumored that maby the timelines are comming together that eventually lead to the 1 time line for breath of the wild and such. ( bit like the dragon break in the elderscroll game daggerfall) and rather it be 1 snap event its a gradual process. so of start it is the downfall timeline but things from other timelines start to blend in. for example the iconic vulcano shape death mountain. in link to the past death mountain was i belief just a dark world thing and the light world had Hebra mountain. so that they are now both here can be sign of a merging of timelines. weirdly tough in zelda 1 and zelda 2 the whole mountain range is called deathmountain agian xD sea zora were technically already in the downfall timeline but they lived in Labrynna and not hyrule.

I just want more people to talk about Link's sword. It's not the master sword. I think it's the white sword from the OG Zelda. Which might make this a sequel to the OG game or an alternate timeline thing. Either way... why doesn't link have the master sword?

Classic Ganon appearing in a separate timeline which includes the wilds era would raise so many questions. A weird thought I had watching the trailer for the first time, and this is complete crackpot daydreaming here, what if those rifts tear open connections between timelines; the "gap between dimensions" as mentioned in OoT. And the appearance of OoT-style Death Mountain and Deku Tree are signs of the timelines collapsing in on each other?

That's not an alternate version of Hyrule but it's the pieces of floating land inside the rift. Also, my theory is that this takes place before A Link to the Past, early on in the downfall timeline, as there is a lot more connection to Ocarina of Time.

My guess is that this game is a prequel to Link's Awakening and there are multiple reasons for that: 1. It plays in the same Hyrule as ALTTP, which fits well into the downfall timeline. And since Link's Awakening plays between ALTTP and ALBW and we know that this Hyrule didn't change much between those games, it would fit right in there. 2. Nintendo likes to reuse the same engines for Zelda games that have similar timeline placements, e.g. OOT/MM, PH/ST, ALBW/TFH, BOTW/TOTK 3. Someone pointed out that the only other time we see Ganon having a two-sided spear is in the end boss fight of Link's Awakening, which implies that the nightmare uses Link's memory of this Ganon for the fight. This would have been just a small detail, if the trailer didn't place such great attention on the spear. 4. Nintendo changed the timeline again in 2017 to place Link's Awakening before the Oracle games. Maybe they already had an idea for this game back then. As for the characters and places shown in the trailer that aren't in ALTTP, it could be that we can wander a bit outside of ALTTP's boundraries or that we just didn't see them in ALTTP.

Wild hope - I want to be able to summon an echo of Link in this game.

I like the ability to switch handednes for Link. It is a small feature, but it would help the player be immersed. TOTK introduced a small feature where Link can change his hair. He has his hair down by default. Then the Link and Zelda house in Hayeno has a hairband item. Link can wear that instead of a hat. That makes his hair tied up in a small ponytail. This is a small thing, but I am thrilled about it. Link was already super attractive in BOTW. In TOTK, he can be pushed just a little further. I think people look better without and ties, braids or other accesories in their hair. This is a nice natural look. I am glad this is an option. I like to wander around with a certain build. Link has no head item equiped, so his hair is down and wears no hat. He has the blue shirt I got from the castle sanctum. The quest for that starts at the house. It is very thoughtful for Zelda to get a new shirt for Link. For pants I use the basic Hylean pants. I only wear this outfit when not dealing with combat or extreme temperatures. The shirt is weak now, because it requires really rare materials to upgrade. I am not there yet. Hopefully with more play, I can fight enemies in this pretty outfit. I also look forward to yhe classic green outfits. Apperently this game has ton if them without needing Amino or DLC. Nice.

My guess is that Z. Echos of Wisdom connects the Fallen Hero and Childhero timeline and explains the absensd of the Triforce in BotW and TotK. With that i would also say that a later game would than melt the missing hero timeline into that new timeline. That would also explain BotWs and TotKs mixture of multiple timelines within world building and races present.
